​Inaugural Project: Blood Pressure Screening in Community Pharmacies
​As the rates of hypertension detection, treatment, and control continue to decline in Canada, and the scope of practice of Canadian pharmacists and pharmacy technicians evolves to meet the healthcare needs of Canadians, community pharmacy teams are positioned to play an integral role in the detection and management of hypertension.
Working collaboratively with the global May Measurement Month Organization and NL SUPPORT, our team is dedicated to supporting Hypertension Canada's hypertension surveillance program and has applied for tri-council funding to study the implementation of a national community pharmacy-based blood pressure screening program.
